Introduction:
My name is Alex Mahlum, owner of Mahlum Family Painting. I run a family owned and operated house painting company, located in Denver Colorado. I have been operating locally since 2013 and will continue to do so for the remainder of my career. This business has given me a wonderful life so far and I look forward delivering top quality, professional service long into the future.
Background:
I began painting houses during high school in my hometown of Cooperstown NY. I worked on an exterior painting crew, lead by an old industry veteran. During that time I learned what it takes to do a long lasting, durable paint job. As I attended CU Boulder from 2007 to 2011, I traveled back to NY to paint each summer on that crew. I was a high performer and was promoted to crew leader, where I brought on new painters, trained them, and made an efficient team.
In 2011 I graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in business management and officially went into business for myself in 2012.
Since that time, my crew and I have painted hundreds of homes in the Denver Metro and delivered professional service to all of our happy clients.
In 2017 I Joined the Army Reserve Engineer Corps and served there until 2024, including a one year deployment overseas where we built up a base in Syria and built a hospital in Iraq. I currently serve in the Colorado Air National Guard.
In my free time, I am outdoors with my wife and daughter, enjoying everything that Colorado has to offer.
